Rules for Filing Protest

Late Model / Limited / Crate Late Model/ Street Stock 4 Bomber /  

 

 Stock 4 Rules

   STOCK 4 

One (1) lb per CC.

 
1- Any American or foreign 1968 or newer 4-cylinder car allowed except as stated: No trucks, convertibles, or station wagons.                                                                               
2.Rear wheel drive cars only. No turbo or fuel injection cars. No multi-carburetor engines. No rotary, mid, rear engine, or Cosworth engine cars. No engine with more than two (2) valves per cylinder.
3. Engine must be stock. Max .080 overbore .No to exceed 2500 cc. Car must weigh 1lb per cc. 2000 lb min. All engines must be stock or as stated: Aluminum cam gear or pulley allowed. Solid lift cam .425 max. Lift with .025 valve lash, hydraulic cams 480 with .000 lash at valve. Stock Motorcraft or Holley 350 Only. No more than 1” spacer plate with thin gaskets. Stock cast iron exhaust manifold. No factory header. Clutch, pressure plate must be stock may cut flywheel 16lb min. Any stock production head. No porting or polishing. Competition (3) angle valve job permitted must not go below guide boss. No hand blending under valve. Stock diameter valves and springs. Valve spring dampener ok .Any steel rods. Toyota 1600 &1800 piston dome .235 in. max. With 20r or 22r head can dome max. .125 in. Any wet sump oil pan.
4. Brakes must be stock. No brake adjusters, no drill rotor or drums.
5. Suspension: Caster and camber plate OK, may cut lower A Frame for caster camber adjustment. Adjustable cups or plates under spring on front Ok, lower blocks or adjustable cups ok on rear. Can tie frame together on top of floor pan only.
6. No altering of car, this means any part of car, front bumper or rear bumper unless it is stated in these rules. All hood and trunk hinges can be removed. May run homemade body with factory steel roof. Quarter panel maybe home made must be steel with factory bodylines. Hoods may be aluminum but must be close at rear. (Alternation) tube from front bumper to shock tower only.
a) After market front and rear bumper covers may be used.
b) All headlights and taillights must be removed with all holes covered.
c) Battery can be relocated but must be mounted in an enclosed box that has been securely mounted to the floor pan of car with two straps 1/8” thick and 1-1/2” wide that are across the top of the box and also secured to the floor pan with ˝” bolts.
d) Fuel cell required. Must meet rules for fuel cell. Cutting of hole in trunk is OK.
e) Dash may be removed. Must have fabricated dash. Interior spoiler can be no higher than dash.
f) Cutting of interior body panels OK. Should not be excessive.
g) May run a 2 ˝ in. hood scoop, must be boxed in.
h) Hoop bar OK around radiator.
I) Hood and deck lid can be gutted.
j) Driveshaft no less than 1 ˝ dia. painted white.
k) May run 6 “x 60” rear spoiler, must be self-supporting, can not go over side of quarter panels, no spill plates.
L) Aftermarket bushings in A-frames, and trailing arms ok.
7. Wheels: Any 8"steel wheel or factory steel wheels. Any offsets and wheel spacers ok.
8. Tires:  Street tires!
9. Transmission must have all working gears, no lighting of rear end gear and no spools.
10. Boxing of interior will be permitted.
11. All cars must meet safety and roll cage requirements that are outlined in this rulebook.
12. NOTE: Anything not covered or mentioned in the previous rules has to be ruled on when brought up. Track official’s decision will be final. The above rules may be amended at any time. If you have any question about a rule or rules, you should ask the technical inspector. Do not just do what you think is right.
13. PROTEST (3 things only) $300 with track retaining $150. Bottom end only $400 with track retaining $200
14. Fuel - Pump gas or Turbo Blue.
